Abstract:   (80 Views)
Among the live foods used in feeding aquatic animals, Artemia nauplii are widely used as the starter food. In order to conduct research to achieve better and more economical feed, in this study, four dry feed sources were used as the first nutritional treatment, including 100% chickpea flour, 100% soybean flour, and the third nutritional treatment consisting of 40% chickpea flour, 40% soybean meal, and 20% sesame flour in comparison with the control group (spirulina powder). The experimens were carried out in three repetitions and the duration of the experiment continued from the time of egg hatching to the last maturity of the treatment group, i.e. 23 days. The experimental treatments were performed in three replicates, and the experiment duration continued from hatching to the final maturation of the last treatment group(23 days). The results showed that there was a significant difference in growth between the groups fed with different treatments. The average total length of Artemia in the second treatment was the highest (0.98 ± 0.01 cm), and the control group (Spirulina) had the lowest amount (0.60 ± 0.01 cm). The maturation of Artemia group (i.e at least ten mature individuals in each of the three replicates) occurred in the first nutritional treatment on day 18. After that, maturation was observed in the second nutritional treatment with a duration of 20 days and in the third nutritional treatment with a duration of 23 days. By the end of the maturation day of the treatment groups, the Spirulina-fed control group did not reach maturation.
