This study were performed to survey the effect of feeding (Artemia franciscana) enriched with iodine on growth indices and the amount of thyroid hormones (T3 and T4) in zebra fish (Danio rerio) larvae. This experiment was conducted in a completely random design in three experimental groups and control with triplicate; group 1(control, unenriched Artemia). Group 2 (fed enriched Artemia with 0.025 gr/l I), group 3 (fed enriched Artemia with 0.05 gr/l I), and group 4 (fed enriched Artemia with 0.1 gr/l I). The larvae were fed four times a day, every four hours. The results showed no significant differences in growth indices among different treatments (P>0.05), but growth was lower in control group. The highest concentration of T3 and T4 was observed in group2, however, the increase amount of T4 was observed in all experimental group compared to control. The results of this study showed improvements in the growth and thyroid hormones (T3 and T4) in the enriched Artemia with 0.025 gr/l of Iodin.
